Profile

I am a PhD researcher in the School of Civil Engineering at the University of Leeds, specialising in structural and construction materials. My research focuses on the development of sustainable, low-carbon lightweight concrete incorporating fibre reinforcement and low-carbon binders. My work combines experimental investigation, microstructural characterisation, structural testing, and numerical modelling to evaluate material behaviour and the structural performance of reinforced concrete beams, with the aim of developing more sustainable and high-performance solutions for structural applications

Research interests

My research interests include sustainable and low-carbon cementitious materials, lightweight and fibre-reinforced concrete, supplementary cementitious materials, and LC3 (limestone calcined clay cement). I am particularly interested in mechanical and microstructural characterisation, structural behaviour of reinforced concrete members, and numerical modelling for predicting and evaluating structural performance
