How to apply
If you wish to be considered for the Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP), please submit an expression of interest form by 1st March 2026.
If you are eligible for the JJ/WBGSP, you will be nominated by the programme team and relevant information will be sent to you. You will then need to submit a separate application to JJ/WBGSP. The JJ/WBGSP application window is between 30 March 2026 - May 29 2026.
Who is eligible?
If you are made an unconditional offer on the Water, Sanitation and Health Engineering MSc you may be eligible for the JJ/WBGSP. You must fulfill the following criteria:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) earned at least 3 years prior to the scholarship application deadline date
- Be employed in development-related work in a paid full-time position at the time of submitting the scholarship application
- Have at least three years of paid development related employment since earning a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent university degree)
- Be a national of an eligible developing country
- Not hold dual citizenship of a developed country
