Profile
I am the Project Manager for DARA - Development in Africa with Radio Astronomy. DARA is a a joint UK-South Africa development project - to help drive economic development in Africa through STEM education.
I was formerly a research scientist with expertise in geophysics and glaciology, particularly field glaciology in remote environments, such as Antarctica. Throughout my 15 year scientific career in both academia and industry, I developed key skills in project management, leadership, teamwork, and networking; with an excellent track record of oral and written communication skills. I am passionate about science communication and EDI and have been actively involved in shaping the EDI strategy for research consortiums I have worked with.
