Research interests
I'm interested in applications of nonlinear dynamics, network science, graph theory and nonequilibrium statistical mechanics to the study of collective human behaviour and complex systems. I am particularly interested in exploring the interface between mathematics and the social sciences. The increasing popularity of this area is partly due to the explosion of open data sets made available by social media. From the mathematician's perspective, this presents us with opportunities to develop data-driven models and metrics based on scalable algorithms. I actively engage in collaborations with business and industry. Please get in contact if you are interested in finding out more.
