Dr Linden Disney-Hogg

Profile

I completed my BA and MMath at the University of Cambridge in 2019, and then my PhD at the University of Edinburgh under the supervision of Harry Braden, finishing in 2023.

Research interests

I work in mathematical physics, focusing on integrable systems and topological solitons, including the magnetic monopole. The modern approach to integrability is closely tied to algebraic geometry, and I have worked on the computational side of this, including contributing to the SageMath programming language.

I am also an honorary appointee at the Institute of Cancer Research, and I retain an active interests in cancer statistics.

I am current organising the Geometric Models of Matter Conference, to be held in Leeds in August 2024, see the webiste for details and registration.

I help run the Mathematical Physics at Leeds (MaPLe) seminar series with Anup Anand Singh.
