Profile
My primary research interests are about Mathematics Education, and Higher Education in the UK. I currently have a research project looking at the working hours of students, both at the number of hours they study on each module, but also how many hours they spend doing paid-work and in leisure. I am also interested in decolonisation, accessibility, innovative methods of teaching and assessment, and the effect confidence has on preformance and self-esteem.
I am the organiser for the Mathematics Education seminar. Email me if you’d like to speak or attend!
Outside of maths education, my research was in Model Theory. My PhD was entitled ‘The Reconstruction of Cycle-free Partial Orders from their Abstract Automorphism Groups’, which combined techniques from Model Theory and Combinatorics.
