Profile
I am a PhD student in the Geometry group under the supervision of Prof. Martin Speight and Dr. Derek Harland. Previously, I have completed my undergraduate and master’s degrees at the University of Cambridge.
Research interests
My general research interests lie in the field of Mathematical Physics, and in particular, Topological Solitons. Their study involves many strong connections to Differential Geometry and other areas in pure mathematics such as Representation Theory.
Currently, my research focuses on a sigma model, called the CP^1 model, with its space of solutions represented by holomorphic maps from a given Riemann surface to the 2-sphere. Previously I have also worked on the Abelian-Higgs model of vortices.
Qualifications
