China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT) partnership

Our partnership with China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT) provides an admissions route for students who have successfully completed the first three years of their Bachelor's programme at CUMT to join a designated study abroad year. Students who successfully complete this year (120-125 credits at level 3) are then eligible to progress directly to a Leeds MSc programme, subject to meeting the minimum entry requirements.

Students successfully completing the five-year study period graduate with a Bachelor's degree from CUMT and a University of Leeds Masters degree.

Fees and scholarships

Once you are enrolled on the Leeds programme you’ll receive a scholarship towards the international tuition fee. This is provided as a partial fee waiver for each year of the programme at Leeds, subject to making satisfactory academic progress.

Study abroad year structure and progression

You have flexibility to select the pathway and modules which best suit your subject interests and career plans. Three different pathways each correspond to one of the three MSc programmes, so your choice of modules during the study abroad year determines which Leeds Masters you are eligible to progress to. Please contact Dr Lanpeng Ji for further information about the programme structure and progression.
