Dr Luzhen Nie

Luzhen Nie received his B.Eng and M.Eng degrees both from the Harbin Institute of Technology. He completed his Ph.D. in the Ultrasonics and Instrumentation Group at the University of Leeds, for research on vector flow mapping and tissue perfusion by combining high-frame-rate ultrasound and microbubble contrast agents. He was awarded the best poster prize in the category of technology at the 24th European symposium on Ultrasound Contrast Imaging. He is currently working as part of a multidisciplinary team investigating additively-manufactured metamaterials for high-resolution ultrasound imaging.
