Profile
I received a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Leeds, U.K., in 2015. From 2015-2018, I was a Research Fellow at the Institute of Robotics, Autonomous Systems and Sensing (IRASS) at the University of Leeds, U.K. In 2018, I started as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Engineering and Technology, University of Huddersfield. Currently, I am an Associate Professor in Communication Networks and Systems at the School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering in University of Leeds. I am also the deputy Director of Postgraduate Research Studies at Leeds.
Responsibilities
- Deputy Director of Post Graduate Research Studies
Research interests
My main area of expertise is in spatio-temporal modelling of large-scale networks for enabling resource optimal design for communication and networking protocols. I have developed statistical frameworks to quantify the performance of cognitive radio networks (CRNs) under different dynamic spectrum access (DSA) schemes which combined game theory with stochastic geometry. I have extensive background in exploiting Network Science concepts for the design and analysis of Intelligent Green Wireless Communication. I have research interests in Open Radio Access networks and enhancing its capabilities through the integration of advanced Machine Learning (ML) techniques deployed in Radio Access Network Intelligence engines. I leverage interdisciplinary concepts and work on Tiny Machine Learning (TinyML) in edge devices which is the state of the art in enabling complex ML algorithms to execute on resource constrained embedded and edge devices.
