Profile

Masoud Ghalaii received the BSc degree in chemical engineering from the Isfahan University of Technology, Isfahan, Iran, in 2011, the MSc degree in physics from the Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 2014, and the PhD degree in electrical engineering and physics from the University of Leeds, Leeds, UK, in 2019. He was a post-doctoral research associate at the Department of Computer Science, University of York, UK, 2019-2022. Currently, he is a Research Fellow in quantum communications networks at the School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, University of Leeds. His primary research applies the science of quantum optics to developing quantum technologies, in particular space quantum communications.
