Pd catalysis - from mechanism to application in medicinal chemistry

Part of the chemistry organic seminar series.

Dr Allan Watson, University of Strathclyde

Abstract: Pd catalysis is a cornerstone of synthetic chemistry and is one of the most widely used approaches in medicinal chemistry. This talk will describe three short and interlinked stories on chemoselective manipulation of multi-reactive systems using control of boron nucleophiles and Pd(II) species, and briefly show how this can be used to aid the synthesis of molecules for inhibition of the LPA signalling pathway.
