Dr Nimesh Mistry

Profile

Nimesh is a Senior Teaching Fellow in the School of Chemistry at the University of Leeds. He is currently a holder of a University Student Education Fellowship and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Nimesh obtained an MChem in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Leeds in 2006, followed by a doctorate at the University of York which was completed in 2010. He remained at York for short postdoctoral fellowship before being appointed as a Teaching Fellow in the Department of Chemistry in 2011. In 2013, he moved back to the University of Leeds to take up his current position.

Nimesh’s interests are in the development of innovative approaches to enhance student education in Higher Education using the scholarship of pedagogic research. His natural focus is applying this to chemistry education but he is moving increasingly towards approaches that can translate across disciplines.
