- Thesis title: Chemical Probes for Real-time Visualisation of Calcium-sensing Receptor Trafficking during Inflammation
- Supervisors: Dr Megan Wright, Dr Martin McPhillie, Dr Polina Yarova, Professor John Simpson
Profile
I graduated with an MSci from the University College London (UCL) in 2023 in Drug Discovery and Development, then went on to work at School of Pharmacy, UCL as a visiting scientist with Dr. Erika Loizidou from 2023 to 2024. We used molecular modeling (MM) and molecular docking techniques to screen for lead compounds as potential immunoproteasome inhibitors. Now, I will start my PhD study (funded by MRC DiMeN DTP) in Dr. Megan Wright’s group at University of Leeds. I will focus on the discovery, synthesis and evaluation of chemical tools (diagnostic tools) for real-time CaSR detection.
