Specialist teaching laboratories
Fatima does lab work each semester, which is a good opportunity to gain experience for her future work and studies. She said: “Last semester, we spent days on a laboratory report with Dr. Natalia Sergeeva. It was so much fun. We were thrilled to work in a lab by ourselves, and write a report about what we did.”
“Also, the modules are advanced and the teaching staff are very helpful. I believe students of University of Leeds gain both theoretical and practical skills which are excellent for our future studies.”
Student life at Leeds – Sustainability, culture and societies
During her time at the University of Leeds, she made friends from different countries and got the chance to learn about different cultures. Fatima wants to continue her studies in this field as researcher. After graduating from Leeds, she would love to work either at this university, or for one of the most respectable companies in the UK. She says: “As a young researcher, one of my aims is to become like the brilliant scientists I admire most, namely Professor Ulviyya Hasanova, one of the most respected scientists in my country.”
