Research interests
My research interests are principally within the fields of continuous-flow processing for fine-chemical production, in- or on-line monitoring of processes, and in automated data analysis and optimisation of chemical processes. Presently, I am working on the monitoring and optimization of small-scale continuous crystallisation processes, through the use of in-line powder X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy. I am aiming to understand the fundamental processes that govern final crystal properties within millifluidic scale continuous flow crystallisations, in order to demonstrate potential viability for industrial scale production.
