The reputation of the School of Computing and its strong network connections to employers were the major attractions that initially drew me to the University of Leeds. When I first visited, I was immediately impressed; along with its wonderful campus, Leeds could offer teaching from highly respected academics and leading experts in many fields.

Computer Science is a very broad discipline so my degree has equipped me with a strong knowledge of programming and many other key skills that are required in industry. I feel I can adapt to different areas and applications of computing, which is very important now that I am working for Lloyds Banking Group in London.

Of course, my degree not only taught me the technical skills of computing, but also developed my core work skills such as problem solving and analytical skills. As I gained confidence during my studies, my communication, presentation and teamskills have also improved.

Leeds has helped me to develop as a knowledgeable, skilful and confident individual – all vital aspects for a successful career.
