Dr Kejun Wu

Profile

Kejun Wu obtained his Bachelor degree in 2007 and PhD degree in 2012 from Zhejiang University, China, both in Chemical Engineering. 

Research interests

My present research interests focus on the development of process intensification methods to perform physical and chemical processes of high significance. Specifically, my research involves three related aspects:

1. Reaction Engineering: to develop multi-scale novel reactor systems, ranging from micro/milli-scale reactors using 3D printing technology to pilot scale rotating packed bed (Higee) reactors;

2. Experimental and Computational Fluid Dynamics: to gain a deep understanding of transport processes (mass and heat transfer, mixing) in novel reactor systems by employing a combination of state-of-the-art numerical models and advanced non-invasive experimental techniques;

3. Advanced Materials Manufacturing: to make a transition of batch to continuous processes for advanced materials manufacturing (metal nanoparticles, perovskite nanocrystals) using micro/milli-scale reactors.
