During my career at COMET Services, I was the Manager of Workshop Team of 8 Engineers, responsible for time keeping, sickness, wage/hours input, productivity, Staff Reviews and Development, disciplinaries, Team meetings, in-house training courses, job issuing, spreadsheet data input, data collating for upper management, weekly/monthly figures collating, technical repair feedback network to assist front of house customer facing staff/Customer Service phone advisers, management training courses, including SMART Objective training, Team Manager development and Health & Safety/Disciplinary Training.
At my current position within the University of Leeds, as an Electronics Research Technician, my responsibilities include the Design, Build and Testing of in-house projects/Instruments to specific requirements of Academic Staff and students according to their specific Research areas.
Repair of Manufacturers Instruments, including but not limited to, IKA,Buchi, Asynt, Vacuubrand, Sartorius, VWR.
PA Testing of all equipment in the MAPS Faculty, (Mathematics, Astronomy & Physics), Food Science and new equipment in Chemistry and now (2019) the new NEXUS building (Physics/Chemistry staff have re located there)
3D Printing with ABS Filament using an XYZPrinting DaVinci 1.0 from designs built in Sketchup and Solidworks
