Dr. Yuechang Wang


Dr. Yuechang Wang is currently working as a Research fellow (Jan. 2020 - ) at the Institute of Functional Surfaces in the School of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Leeds within an EPSRC funded grant "TRibology as an ENabling Technology (TRENT)" . His main research topic is developing a full predictive tribonanoprinting model verified by experiments. 

He completed his PhD in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Tsinghua University in 2019. His Ph.D. thesis is ‘Theoretical Model and Experimental Verification of Mixed Lubrication of Conformal Contact Surfaces’.

He completed his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and Automation in 2014, from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China.

Research interests

Developing numerical models and corresponding algorithms and tools for EHL/mixed lubrication modelling.

Surface topography characterization and generation.

Multi-scale lubrication simulation.

Multi-scale material simulation.
