Why did you decide to study an MSc in Advanced Mechanical Engineering at the University of Leeds?

Having previously done a BEng in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Greenwich, I wanted to further my study. The School of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Leeds is better than Greenwhich, so I came here instead. And also, completing the MSc Advanced Mechanical Engineering in Leeds gave me the confidence to apply for Phd study here and fortunately, I got a Phd offer as well.

What has been the best aspect of studying on your course and at the University so far and why?

Aerodynamics. This is definitely the best aspect during my study here. And what I applied for the Phd program is also in the field of aerodynamics, and I think aerodynamics could be the most important for my future career.

Tell us about some of the exciting projects you have completed.

I am in the process of doing the MSc Professional project. I feel so excited that I can deal with difficulties in the aspect of Sports Engineering-Aerodynamics and have learnt so many things from my supervisor including the use of software and hardware-the wind tunnel!

What does Leeds as a city have to offer students?

Better accommodation and more freshers’ events for new students, especially for the MSc student.

What are your ambitions for the future?

I hope to finish my Phd program and find a job in a transnational corporation to do aerodynamic research or, alternatively, it would also be exciting to teach at the university.

What experiences at Leeds do you think will help you in your future career?

I think that living and studying with multi-national students helped me gain more knowledge about different cultures.

What would you say to students coming to do the same course?

Come here for the best student union and excellent study facilities! A fantastic life is waving to you, you deserve it!
