Why did you decide to study a masters at the University of Leeds?

The University of Leeds is one of the best universities and top research institution in UK. In addition, I am here because a scholarship opportunity was offered by the university in partnership with Windle Trust International. Being part of this prestigious university is something special that will pave the way for my career. Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Leeds is of a great standard with outstanding stuff qualities and well organized.

What has been the best aspect of studying on your course and at the University so far and why?

The course provides a balance of the theoretical and practical aspects which prepares me in a competitive job environment. The school is well equipped and well organised with technical labs that have excellent management and instructors to achieve technical proficiency in the course. Despite all these, studying always have challenges which require balance, and these have been possible with the support given by the excellent and experienced staffs. 

Tell us about some of the exciting projects you have completed.

The projects have been the most important part of the course which have significantly contributed to my career development.

What does Leeds as a city have to offer students?

Leeds is an amazing city with great atmosphere and hospitality. Being in this city has been a significant part of my studies given the fact that the university location makes it easy to access the most wonderful restaurants and city Centre. 

What are your ambitions for the future?

Given the skills and experience of my course and studying at the University of Leeds, I am hoping to play a key role in computing and telecommunications environment. Also, I have been a freelance engineer for the past 3 years and I would love to start my own consultancy and business firm after the completion of my course.

What experiences at Leeds do you think will help you in your future career?

The School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering has a high reputation in the United Kingdom as a whole. It has not been easy studying here given the personal and environmental challenges as an international student, however. I feel obliged of being part of the family which will significantly boost my career development. The staff has been very helpful in my career development and ensuring that I obtain the best qualifications and skills necessary for my career and to keep the school reputation.

What would you say to students coming to do the same course?

For those who want to play a significant role in their career development, the school of electronics and electrical engineering is the perfect place that could make you a role model in your career. However, challenges are the most motivating factors that you can never avoid rather requires tolerance and commitment.
