Why did you choose to study the Advanced Concrete Technology MSc?

I wanted to have a formal academic recognition from a world-class university to add value to my 18 years of experience in the concrete industry.

What has been the best aspect of studying this course and why?

I have learned to tackle the issues and get solutions from an academic point of view. It helps me to try and dig deep to find out and get/offer different solutions for a particular problem.

What projects are involved in outside of the course?

CLSM (Controlled Low Strength Materials) with Cement Kiln Dust

Tell us about your ideas for your research project.

Structural concrete with only by-products as binders (producing structural concrete only with GGBS and Cement Kiln Dust as an activator)

What would you say to students coming to do the same course?

The incoming students are indeed very lucky to study the subject at the University of Leeds. The teaching faculty is very helpful by offering immediate guidance whenever needed. Excellent resources are made available to research and prepare for the assignments.
