Kristina completed her MChem, BSc in Medicinal Chemistry with a year in industry at Apex Molecular. She continued her research career with a PhD studying Protein-Protein Interactions relevant in oncology and neurodegenerative diseases under Prof Andrew Wilson at the University of Leeds. Since completing her PhD Kristina combined her deeper understanding of chemical biology and core analytical skills (HPLC, NMR, IR) gained during her PhD, with her passion for sustainability and active ingredients from plants with application in biology in her current role as Senior Scientist at Keracol.
I’m interested in the use of renewable materials and open recycling loops to create consumer products sustainably in both fashion and skincare aligned with those held at the core of Keracol. My chemical biology knowledge has helped hone in on active ingredients used in cosmetic products, understand their benefits when targeting skin biology and build formulations that deliver and perform.
Research projects

Any research projects I'm currently working on will be listed below.
