Profile
I have always been fascinated by science and one of the highlights of my life so far was representing the UK in the International Biology Olympiad in 2012, where I won a silver medal. After that I went to Emmanuel College, Cambridge to study natural sciences where I eventually specialised in chemistry, also studying biochemistry for the first 2 years. Having greatly enjoyed my final year research project under the supervision of Prof. Chris Abell in the field of fragment-based drug discovery for tuberculosis, I wanted to continue my research in a similar area and so came to Leeds to begin a PhD with Prof. Colin Fishwick.
