Research interests

My research focuses on using chemical vapour deposition with a variety of different catalysts to produce multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) from pyrolysis of waste materials, including plastics and lignin. I use many different techniques to characterise the CNTs and catalysts, including SEM, TEM and some advanced synchrotron techniques, such as X-ray Raman scattering spectroscopy and XANES/EXAFS.
